Purpose & Mission

When Matthew “Matt” Price was about 5 years old, his uncle Jerome showed him the classic “missing thumb” magic trick. From that moment, he was dedicated to learn and perform the art of magic. Matt Price was a comedian, magician, and street performer who was senselessly murdered on his walk to a local convenience store on November 21st, 2021. For over 20 years, he dedicated his life to his passions, practicing his skills every day (he often effortlessly rolled a quarter across his knuckles while taking cracks at his social life). He traveled the country performing magic and comedy, eventually making it to Los Angeles where he grew within the community and on TikTok. Matt cherished the traditions of the art of magic and comedy, and loved inspiring the younger generations to carry the torch. Everyone who knew him, loved him. Because of Matt, OMPMF understands the importance of street performers and the positive impacts they have on their communities, as well as the hardships they endure.

Street performers face challenges unique to their lifestyles. Matt used public transportation to travel to the Santa Monica Pier to perform and earn his living. Street performers’ livelihoods depend on their skills, showmanship, and (unknowingly to most) uncontrollable factors like legal regulations, weather, and fluctuations in tourism. To honor Matt’s dedication to the arts and inspiring future generations, our mission is to empower performing artists to pursue their passions and overcome financial barriers through annual donations.

Meet the Team

  • Brianna

    FOUNDER, PRESIDENT

Matthew and Brianna were two years apart and best friends. Four months after Matt's murder, Brianna founded OMPMF with the help of their mom, Danuta. Along with raising her two young sons, she dedicates her time to building the foundation and learning the lifestyle, culture, and needs of performing artists.

  • Danuta

    SECRETARY

Danuta faced the unimaginable- losing a child. She consistently contacts Los Angeles detectives and local news stations to keep Matt's case from going cold. Through everything, her strength has kept her family and the OMPMF team determined to keep Matt's name alive. She organizes fundraisers and maintains relationships with individuals dedicated to helping grow the foundation.

  • George

    VICE PRESIDENT

George is an entrepreneur and performing artist. He knew Matt as another performer in the Southwest Florida area. George splits his time between his business, Wild Ace Entertainment, OMPMF, and co-founding another nonprofit dedicated to the restoration of Fort Myers Beach after Hurricane Ian.

  • Dominic

    TREASURER

Matt’s brother-in-law and close friend, Dominic, naturally became the foundation’s treasurer with his experience in the financial industry. Outside of the foundation, Dominic is a genius in sales, working primarily with EV, solar, and real estate.

  • Chris

    EVENT CO-COORDINATOR

Chris became Matt’s step-dad early on in his life. Matt had tremendous respect and appreciation for Chris, often reflecting on the cooking and outdoor skills that Chris taught him. Chris maintains the foundation’s primary venue, Camp-Run-a-Muck, and leads in the electrical and construction work.
